Adding more sand

What's the best way to add more substrate to my tank? Is there a way to do it easily? Nothing in it at the moment except a leather coral.

First make sure you rinse the sand extremely well or you'll have a sand storm no matter what you do. The funnel and tubing idea I'm sure would work but I have a measuring cup I use, just fill it with the rinsed sand, slowly submerge it in the tank and then dump out the contents underwater, repeat till you get the desired result. It will still cloud the water but will be very minimal and its pretty darn easy IMO.

I use a very large funnel and a piece of 3" PVC that reaches to the bottom. Just make sure that you lift the pvc up an inch or so so that the sand has someplace to go. Pour a small amount of water into the funnel after you have filled it with sand to wash it down. Otherwise it splashes right back up and all over the walls. The wife was not impressed.

Or put it in a Ziploc baggie and submerge it then open it.
2nd that, cheapest way to go or just place the open bag of sand at bottom of tank and dump sand out. Which ever method u decide, water will be cloudy and clear up after a day or so.
