Adding mushrooms

Just needed some advice, adding some mushrooms to my 75 gl with aquaticlife 6 bulb lighting, was wanting to no what is best for feeding them??

They really won't need fed specifically. They will be just fine and target feeding them will only add more waste to your tank IMO.

Hmm.. would have to disagree.Sure, they'll be just fine with no feedings, but I've been collecting all types of mushrooms for years now, and can vouch for drastic color improvement and overall health of my pieces directly attributed to feeding Fauna. They love it! I feed my Yumas especially roughly 3-5 pellets each a couple times a week and I've noticed brighter colors an just an overall improvement in vibrancy. As far as waste, as long as your mech/bio filtration is dialed in, it's not an issue in the slightest

I'm not disagreeing that you will get some better results with proper feeding but there is a difference between what you're doing and what someone just starting out is going to do. If a someone is asking what to do with adding a very simple coral I presume (perhaps falsely) that they are newer to the game and overfeeding of the tank is more likely as it is, the increased nutrient levels in the water will naturally feed mushrooms.

A bit presumptuous though isn't, to assume that he's just starting out, not to mention assuming hes overfeeding his system, simply because he asked what to feed his Shrooms?

Agreed, if one is feeding fish in the same tank, most softies, including mushrooms, don't require anything additional outside of proper lighting.

Thanks for the advice, you guys have been alot of help, have them in the tank put them a little higher on my live rock guessing the closer to the light the better they do look a little smaller when I put them in compared to how they looked in my friends tank
