Adding refuge

I have an extra 10g tank setting here that I could turn into a fuge without any trouble at all. I can just plumb it inline with the sump and I have some 6500k pc lamps that I can use on it. What would be the best items to add to it? Any ideas or suggestions?

Some live sand and some macro algae is usually a good start. I really want to do mine with some mangroves, but I'm not sure of the wisdom of that path.

In mine I have rock rubble with chaeto and feather calpura.

Mangroves are cool looking but grow too slow to remove much nitrates or phosphates.

I advise against Mangroves, remember those are trees and if they live they can burst a tank with there roots JMO. Sand, rubble, chaeto is fine as some other forms of marine macros CAN cause serious problems down the road.

I'll be home this weekend. If you want to drop by I'll give you a start of chaeto.
Pm me if you don't have my #.

Thanks! I still have your number. I was also wondering if you ever got one of the BTA's out of the rocks? I'd still like to get one of those also if possable.

I haven't yet. One of them took up residence next to my pulsing sinulara and is stinging a small part of it. I need to get it out.

Well if you can I'll take it off your hands. I'll hit you up later this week. Also all the corals that I got from you last time are still doing great and growing nicely.
