Adding rock back in DT

About 2 weeks ago I took some really big pieces of live rock out of my tank and broke it down into smaller pieces. I did this as I want to re-scape my tank and also have some pieces to put corals that I frag. At any rate I have had the LR in 2 buckets - one with salt water the other in RODI. I am planning on using it today to build some nice tunnels and overhangs.
Any reason I can't add the LR back in?

Anyone? Any concerns about ammonia or anything like that?

I think you can add them back in without any problem. Just don't take them as "live" anymore since one bucket was filled with RODI. The other was filled with salt water but I assume no heater or food added. So the bacteria may have already died off.

Its likely a case of mileage may vary based on tank maturity and a whole bunch of other factors. I'd be more inclined to make the changes over a couple weeks rather than all in one go but that may be being overly cautious, I tend to avoid any rapid change.
