Hi everyone, its been a while but i have a question i know some of you could help with. for the last year I've been running my 4' long 60gal tank with one radion and 2 diy LED strips. i know its not enough but my T5 lamp died out of the blue and the only thing i found locally was some kid on CL selling this radion/diy led setup. the plan was to get another radion but life happened and that got put on hold lol. now i have to move and i want to do some upgrades so i took the tank down last week and I'm planning the new setup. i could go for another radion but I've been reading a lot about LED T5 hybrid setups. i love the radion but i do remember having healthier coral with my T5 lamp.
long story short, i wanna keep my radion centered between two 48" dual lamp T5 fixtures (total 4 bulbs). the plan was to do a retrofit kit but all i found don't really direct light straight down without a canopy and i really don't want a canopy. i like the skeleton look of the fixture hanging from the ceiling. so second option is to buy 2 AquaticLife marquis marine dual lamp (or similar) and sandwich the radion between those. this would keep light going mainly down and still have the skeleton look i like. what are your thoughts on this? overkill?
