So, I have tried everything to get my SPS corals to have decent polyp extension.... The last resort is going to be to try to add some T5 lighting to the tank in hopes that it will get the corals growing better and with good polyp extension.
The water parameters are all in range:
Salinity = 1.024-1.025
Temp = 78-79F
Ammon. = 0ppm
Nitrite = 0ppm
Nitrate = 5 - 10ppm
Calcium = 450
Mag = 1125
dKH = 8
Lighting:
4 AI Hydras
Flow:
2 Vortech MP40w
1 Jebao WP-60
I have been doing everything in my power to get the coral to grow and have good polyp extension but to no avail. I mean by no means is the tank doing badly, but I just can't seem to get hints the way I want them....
Are any of you using both AI hydras and T5 lighting??? If so what T5 units are you using? I am just trying to see if a couple of T5 units would even fit over the tank? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ryan
