Additional Light (is it worth setting up?)

So I have a four-bulb T5 fixture on my tank (10,000K bulbs + actinics). However, I also have this Aqueon single tube strip light laying around. It has a 17 watt 8,000K full spectrum bulb. It also says it's meant for freshwater and shouldn't be used without a glass top which I don't have. I am trying to decide if this extra fixture could be beneficial (for the corals), or would it mess up things in terms of triggering algae and/or cyano and such. Thoughts?

I doubt 17W of T8 fluorescent is going to make much of a difference either way. I don't think I'd bother, personally, but if you want to add a bit more light it probably won't hurt.
