Any body remember the teeny tiney green Acropora microphthalma colony in the center of my tank from the last ORCA meeting..?

Well here... let me remind you... it's the colony in t he upper center. Approximately three feet across...

The circular patterns you see on the glass are where the Micro P. was growing on the glass in large sheets, which ironically came off the glass easily along with the rest of the colony.

Be sure to stop by and visit Chris at Reef Works and ask him how the Weed II is doing ..? He's now the proud owner of the biggest Calcium sponge in history

Actually, the Micro P. was given to me about three years ago. It was a twig less than 1 centimeter in length... It grows like wild and is one of the hardiest corals I've ever grown. It'll grow under almost any kind of lighting. Under metal halides it'll turn bright green.

So the saga is over... the Weed II is gone... sniff sniff.

On to bigger and more colorful things :D

When you replace that with the 3 foot ORA blue tort...
Well, when you tire of THAT one... Don't call Chris, I'll come get it...

I woke up this morning and looked in the tank and I'm stunned how much room is in there now... I'm really excited about all the new nooks and crannies I have to play with. The architecture has completely changed now and there are all kinds of new possibilities... If only I had a 3 foot tort or Loisetteae... may be by this time next year

Hang in there...
I hear there is a frag auction coming at my house at the end of the month...

I see that by the smile on your face that it is like one of the happiest reef moments in your life! Perhaps now there will be even better days ahead given the space now open to more exotic things. Good Luck my friend!

Nothing like a good spring cleaning. You should feel proud. Just think of all the corals that will not be taken from the wild due to your propagation! You just filled a void of 50+ corals.
