Once I'm done with an image whats the best way to save the image for use on a website for optimal quality and fast loading..
Adobe Lightroom2.2
Right click and export.. (command+click in Leopard) then it'll ask you for settings. Then save it.
Also, have you tried LR's "WEB" module? Basically you can pick images from your library and build a flash-based website right off the bat. I have to admit it's awesome!

Pretty much! I find the type of work I want to emulate and do as they do, use what they use. Now I just have to figure out how to do! So, what do I do with it? I assume it takes the Bridge to the next level?
I'm still learning LR myself , but from what I gather, LR is an "all in one" software that is developed specifically for photographers. It combines the image browsing capability of Bridge and the converter in Camera Raw, but will never replace PS since it doesn't do layers, adj. layers, etc. You "export" the image in PS to do this.
It's confusing at first, but basically the workflow goes like this... you import your pictures into the catalog, apply keywords, then work on it in the Develop module... from there you can either print or export to web, and you're done. It's a non-destructive workflow so basically all your adjustments are not "baked in" on the picture, but rather saved in the LR catalog.
LR and CS4
can co-exist. I do my basic dodge & burn in LR but when I need to work on multiple layers I export to PS, then back to LR, and finally out to the printer.
I'm still learning..
