I was going to use an Ice Cap 660 that I already had to drive 4 48" T5's in a DIY canopy I am working on. With dual 250 watt Halides and the 4 T5's under SLR reflectors, I decided to switch gears and go with standard output ballasts. I bought a couple of Advance T5 ballasts from Hello Lights. I'm kinda scrambline to get the canopy finished, so I bought before asking. So, after the fact, for anyone using the Advance ballasts, how do you like them. Are they holding up? How hot do they get? Any problems with flickering? Do they seem to drive the lamps to the 54 watts like they are supposed to?
Thanks
