Advice needed

Probable light shock is it turning white? if so you are bleaching it. I leave my corals at the bottom for at least a week them slowly move it every week until I get it where I want it. Everything good comes slowly in reef keeping.

I had my way er checked 3days ago the said it was good, I'm using the reef 1and 2.
I dose the calcium twice a week 65gallon tank

Ok well first off you need to get your own test kits they are easy to use. Plus if you are new you need to get used to testing and how you tank used Cal, ALk, and Mag. These three things are all linked and when one of them changes they all change. Also it helps to diagnose problems. You really need to know what these are and be able to tell people when they ask.

For example:

MY tank is a 72 Gallon bow with about a total for 60 gallons in the system with the sump. My levels are below.

Ammonia - 0
Nitrates - 0
Alk - 9.2
Cal - 450
Mag - 1380

This is likely light related as I experienced the same thing. How long have you had the Radions? Set on natural cycle running at 100% (default) they are extremely intense and would bleach most corals if not properly aclimated. I don't think my system could ever handle the intensity as they start bleaching @ 70% max intensity @ 14k.

I would advise creating your own program or using someone elses. Or in natural mode you could set the depth offset to 30+ feet and take the brightness down to 60% or so.

If you would like to use mine let me know. It starts off with 14k, progresses to 18k mid-day, then 20k afternoon, and actinic (100% royal blue, 30% red) in the evening. Max intensity is around 60%.

Yeah I think that would b cool I would love to borrow your program ajcanale

Thanks neoborn I'm going to check out those articles today, bye the way how do I get to add all my tank info to my post.

What the heck kind of species of coral is a Kelly green coral? Seems like a lot of advice being given about a coral that we don't even know what it is. Some coral like high flow, high light, some low light, low flow, depends on what it it.....

My Radion schedule can be downloaded here.
Download file> open the Ecosmart Config Utility> go to Artificial Mode > Click the "Import" button> Find and select the file you downloaded (radionsps.etg) > When propted "Do you want to shift day time" select NO > Change Start day to 8:00 A.M. and Start Night to 8:00 P.M. > Program All

This should work and the schedule should appear as a bell shaped curve similar to that in Natural mode. The import and time shift thing is very buggy though, so let me know if there are issues.

It's a Kelly green psammocora coral

As I recall, psammoncora's do not like high light at all. halfway up the tank at best. Some are different. But usually they do no like to be directly under a bulb but off to the side. Even shaded they usually do good.

So light shock is most probably the cause. Even with low CA or Mag that won't kill a coral it's just not going to grow as fast. And being new, growth isn't an issue right now. Alk if to high or low can kill.

With that said, I've never killed one or came close to doing it.
