hi just after some advice ony here as i live in the uk,

i have a 6100 stream which is not working correctly it is second hand so unsure of its age but has the older take apart prop

i runs slow when switched on less the 1/2 speed and the drvier alarm is on

I have done all the cleaning and am 100% sure it is not that

could it be the driver? or would this stop it running altogether?

also can i plug in another driver to test this or will they need to be the same age?

have tried this with the working driver from my other pump and it still don't work, in fact it wont even turn the pump.

have noticed that the metal bit in the power leads are different sizes, is this any issue?

Which metal bit are you talking about? You should be able to swap out the part with another 6100. Make sure both pumps are 6100 doesn't matter the age. Sometime swap out the propeller also helps.

there's a big metal circle in the power lead but i wonder if there different in the uk,

i mangaed to test the driver and they both work,

so i think now it must be the moter block! not sure why it would only spin it at half speed

try to swap out the propeller. I had the same problem before and after exchange the propeller. The alarm issue fixed.

The motor coil has some damage, it is the cheapest part so it is better to have a bad motor coil than a bad driver. You need part 6100.015. They can be damaged by a defect, power surge, or running jammed for an extended period.

thanks for that, now looking to pick up a second hand one,

would an american one be compatable with my pump which was brought in the uk, as i'm struggleing to find a secondhand spare over here

was thinking of putting an advert on here to see if anyone has one

It will be hard to find a motor only spare, a 6100.015 runs $92 US brand new. They are the same everywhere, the transformer determines the country and voltage.
