Advice on a second wrasse? 17 gallon tank

I have a possum wrasse in a 24" x 12" tank, and he's great and all, but he only swims near or in the rocks, so i want to add an fish that swims out in open, and was thinking of a small fairy or flasher wrasse.

Do you think they will fight?

Well im sure a lubbocks or carpenters would have been fine. But not sure if a small red wrasse would get along with another wrasse of the same color. That is what i was asking.

Probably won't be adding more fish anyway, but if anyone else has any thoughts i would love to hear them.

I would not risk it - wrasse are not easy fish to catch if one misbehaves anyway. I don't know which would be aggressive, but I have heard of a possum wrasse beating up on a pink streaked wrasse in the same tank. Besides, as said above, this tank size isn't really suitable for flashers or fairy wrasse.

First off the tank is too small for a wrasse. Second off there isnt any room for 2 wrasses.

So get a bigger tank first.

haha im not getting a bigger tank.

and i already have a possum wrasse, they are 2" wrasse! how can you say the tank is too small lol?

anyway, thanks for the quick replies.

Read all the other replies. The possum is the only exception for the most part. And 2 is too many for that tank imo.

Have you people noticed, that almost every time someone is wondering why their fish do this and that and kill and die and what not, the reason is "your tank is too small"?
There are large tangs in less than 100 gallon tanks, dragonets in new systems and all these don't-do-this-thigs...
I'm not saying this to you Squared, just generally wondering...
These are living things!! They belong to the ocean, and we are keeping them in a closed environment.
I have a Sohal in a 10'10" tank, and it is still too small IMO.
I can't believe some things I read here, poeple are so selfish taking some animals in a tank that is too small, just because they want one!
