Advice on bulkheads & placement

I have a 75 that I need to get up & running so I can move. I want to drill 2 holes in the bottom for drains & 2 in the back for return. My thought was to pvc pipes straight up for the over flows. Is this right & where is best place to get bulk heads. Does anyone use rigid PVC for everything or do you use hose?

Sch 80 bulkheads from a farm and home store.

PS, if it's glass you may not want to drill the bottom. Tempered glass will shatter.
