advice on taking down reef

I took a job in NYC and my wife will remain in Richmond until the spring. I have decided to take down my tank until we officially move. Selling off my fish and corals. Can I keep my rock alive if I placed it into my RO storage tank with salt added to it, or show I place the 250#s of rock into buckets and let it die off and when I am ready put back into tank for a couple of months to get it live again? Thanks

I'd put in a storage container with a heater and powerhead. Also, keep the salinity in check so all the critters keep alive.
