Advice: Thinking about adding a Coral Beauty and Fox Face to reef tank

I REALLY want to add a coral beauty angel and a fox face to my reef tank. I keep hard and soft coral, polyps, etc etc. Ive heard that both can be ok in a reef tank... and I have also heard the opposite.

FYI... I tend to OVER feed. I feed a mixture of frozen, flake, pellett, and phytoplankton. I also place nori, tang heaven, and caulerpa in the tank every few days. LMK what your EXPERIENCE... not just opinions... are about adding 1) A coral beauty and 2) a fox face to a reef tank. Thanks!

I have a Coral Beauty in my 180, and had one in my old 80 gallon system for a long long time. He was my second fish, and was over 7 years old when he died.

I've never had any bad experiences with either fish. I caught my current one nipping ONE time, and I think it was just an exploratory one at that, at a waving colt coral. I tend to over feed sometimes myself, but really, I've had great experiences with Coral Beauties. Great looking fish. They seem to be loners though, at least in my experience.
Good luck.

I have had a coral beauty before in my reef tank and they are very great reef inhabitants, I think many people think they arent reef safe because they look like they are picking at coral, but they only like to graze on the algae on the rock.

The foxface is the same thing. the foxfaces are totally reefsafe and they love the macroalgaes, so the nori would be great.

Good Luck with the reef, I think both would be good reef inhabitants.

I have had several foxfaces and I had only one that loved LPS corals and ripped several heads off of a torch coral. The other 2 I have had never touched any corals.

My coral beauty never touched any corals

I had 2 of them and both died. Both were eating mysis and then just one day seemed to die. I wont purchase another one.
