advise on pumps location Jebao pp8

Good morning,

I purchased 2 Jebao pp8 pumps for my 120G (2'X2'X4'). Please help me choose the best location for the pumps.
Jebao manual include the attached diagram . my LR is set in 2 "islands" (see pic).

I prefer to have the pumps hidden or at the back of the tank , if possible.

Reef. do you mean like in ref 1 of the manual? if so can I put them at the rear? what angle ? how do I identify the dead spots?

Yes, like ref. 1. Dead spots are areas within the tank that detritus and food makes it's way to and settles in one spot. For example, say if you didn't do a water change for some months and behind a rock, in a nook, or in a corner, there is a pile of detritus, this will be considered a dead spot. Flow is not good enough in that area to keep the detritus suspended in the water column to get to the overflows..
 
I always try to have one shoot across the front of the rocks and 1 shoot across the back of the rocks..
They could both be on one end or 1 on each end..
