AEFW VS. Revive VS. TMPCC

We have AEFW in our tank and I was basting corals yesterday and caught 7 HUGE AEFW. I decided to try out some treatments and see how well they actually work. I used REVIVE and TMPCC as test samples, here are the results.
Standard dose/Revive. 3 Min. till noticeable discomfort and dead w/in 10 Min.

2x dose/Revive. Instant discomfort and dead w/in 5-7 Min.

Standard/TMPCC 4 Min. till noticeable discomfort but death took 20+ Min.

2x dose/TMPCC 3 Min. till noticeable discomfort and dead w/in 10-11 Min.

I don't know which did is easier on the coral but the REVIVE worked much better than TMPCC. As I said these were all very large FW some being close to 3/8". Pics to follow of the FW.

Good to know, thanks for posting your results. Now I need to decide if I should start double dosing the REVIVE and dipping a couple minutes longer. I have been doing REVIVE at normal strength for 3-minutes.

Yeah iodine dips like TMPCC really seem to tick off or kill acros or chalices that I have dipped in the past. I switched to revive recently with a turkey baster and the corals I have dipped recover quickly and don't brown out like with iodine.

Curious on how Coral Rx would have performed? I was under the impression that Revive and TMPCC are both iodine based???

Good work and nice to know actual tested type treatment.....

I baste with a hungry leopard, radiant wrasse and 3 pyramids and one lamark angel.

No satisfaction like blowing them off into a tasty snack!!!!!!!!!

My friend just dipped a milli in coral rx because it had looked crappy for a couple weeks, it knocked several aefw's off the coral right away.

Revive basically diluted pine oil, no iodine. Haven't tried Coral Rx yet but I hear it works well.

IME by the time the worms are irritated enough to fall off in TMPCC, the time and dose is irritating the acro significantly. I don't even use the stuff any more. I use Revive.

I've used Revive several times for long doses (1 to 1 1/2 hr dose). I've had no problems with the coral becoming too stressed. It has worked well on montipora eating nudis (with the long dose). Shorter doses work well on the AEFW. Long doses just don't hurt.
