Saw some red looking flatworms crawling around on the base of some frag discs of my sps. I almost had a heart attack and thought they were AEFW. I was wondering how this could be since I Revive dip everything and quarantine for 6 weeks.

I think these are actually red planaria that came in on a shipment of hermits and snails that I added to my tank. Has this happened to anyone before? Do you guys quarantine your hermits/snails or dip them? TIA.

IMO Red Planaria will only be a PITA if you have the proper habitat for them. Just like any other organism in your tank. Create a good system that is balanced and healthy for coral and it will thrive but it will also have a healthy balance of red planaria and other things you may consider a nusiance but you wont see them.
