Aeric's 265 Tank Log

I am so happy to say that my 265 is now full.

What I have in use
Emperor 400
MJ 1200
Power head 500GPH
USA Orbit 48" 265

What I have not in use yet hoping very soon.
Oceanic Model three sump
ETSS 800 skimmer
Dolphin AM 3000
Dolphin AM 2100
Coralife 790P

My tank has two 1" holes in the back on the top. I have no overflow boxes, right now they have rubber plugs. Not sure what is going to happen for boxes yet.

The ETSS will fit under the tank but I don't know if the drain will work at that water level to flow into the sump. Anyone ever have a problem with this?


I was starting this post because I have never done any of this before and I want it to work right. Ideas, Advice, or a helping hand would be great...

Aeric,
It's drilled in the back you say? Are you worried about overflowing the sump if your return pump stops? It looks like you are setting up to get it going with a sump.
Nice monster tank in the making.

Skimmer's drain will not work at this water level, it should be above water level in the sump.

Wow - from what I read so far, I think you are going to SERIOUSLY need to add some flow to that tank. Can you detail what you have so far?
