Affordable Aquatics - don't do business with them

Hello, all.

Just a friendly warning to avoid doing business with Affordable Aquatic Supplies. I bought a few things from them 2 months ago and never received anything. I traded emails with the owner, John, a few times and then he just disappeared. Now it's too late to dispute the charges through Paypal and I'm out the cash. What a d*ck.

Good luck out there with all these scammers around.

I've heard similar stories. Supposedly he just sells stuff out of his house in Stamford. Doesn't really have a store or inventory.

The last address I have for him is in North Stamford but I've heard he's moved recently.

And his voice mail is full... It's been a week since I ordered from him. I'll be filing a complaint shortly

Wow this is sad.... I was going to order some bulbs from him a while back. But something seemed off so I canceled the order. I'm glad I did now.

Well, just because he doesn't have a store doesn't mean he cannot operate a decent online business BUT I do agree that it's best to not do business with him.

I have had a less than perfect interaction as well.

PayPal refunded me. He is not responding to them either.
