Anyone know of any pet stores in the area (St. Pete) that carry Africans? Supplies? Anybody have extra rocks? Fish for sale? I will be cycling the tank for the next few weeks, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Anthony.
If your looking for Wild caught or F1's, not your common cichlids checkout: www.cichlidstore.com .....Owner: Bob www.cichlidunderworld.com ....Owner: Nate
they are both located in the Brandon and Valrico area and you can setup a pickup date and time.
I had Cichlid for lunch several times each of the past two years while I was in Tanzania. They were caught in Lake Tanganyika. It's very tasty. When one gets too big for your tank...cook it!
Mike, I wouldnt do that with all the chemicals we use in our systems. Next time you up there bring some back, frozen. Its amazing how much we spend on these fish in the U.S and they are eating them....
I kept Cichlids for many years and spent lots of $$$. I told some of the guys over there about Cichlid aquariums and they laughed their @$$ off. "Stupid Americans will buy anything."
I have maybe 10 different kinds of african cichlids and am willing to sell all of them if you want them. I am going to be converting their tank into my reef tank and going to take them in for store credit. When your tank is cycled you are more than welcome to come take your pick.
