AGA90 guts you would want - your opinions matter :)

Assuming I go with the AGA90 48x18x24 which has one overflow and is drilled. What equipment do you all suggest? This is where your opinions matter :)

On lights â€"œ which setup would you suggest for a mixed reef?

I was thinking about something like the Nova Extreme T-5 Fixture w/Lunar Lights 8x54w 399.00 or 4x54w 199.00

How big of a Sump/Refugium will I need for this tank in this footprint? What do you suggest on plumping for it based on your experience?

Which Skimmer do you recommend for this size unit? Would the Berlin Turbo Classic 250gal 174.99 be a good choice or bad, why?

What Pumps should I get? Suggestions are needed. I am looking to see what I can afford and what will be useful compared to a bad investment I will need to change out 5 months down the road.

Ok so assuming I get the AGA90 which so you suggest?

Lights?
Skimmer?
Sump/Refugium? (size/setup)
Pumps?
Other suggestions?

If I go with the AGA120?

Lights?
Skimmer?
Sump/Refugium? (size/setup)
Pumps?
Other suggestions?

There are so many different brands and thoughts out there and I do not have any experience with any of them really. So I need help coming up with a game plan and I have seen some amazing tanks here. I trust your opinions based on your experience with different equipment.

Thanks.

The only thing I can tell is that if you really want a 120, and it's pretty obvious you do :D , them go ahead and spring for the 120. You'll always wish you had. I'm sure some of the others here can tell you.

As for the Nova Extreme, I know 2 people that have their fixture and both said they are very pleased with it. Wattage and the fixture type will depend on what you want to keep. What kind of tank are you doing, FOWLR, softies, etc.?

For the sump/fuge, will you be putting it under the stand or in a fish room? If it's under the stand, you're restricted to the size that will fit under there.

I haven't heard of the skimmer you mentioned, maybe someone here can chime in. The price seems to good for it to be a really good skimmer. If in doubt go with Euroreef, I've heard nothing but great things about their skimmers.

I have the nova Nova 4x54w. I like it. The fan noise is too much for me so I don't use it. There is a separate plug for it. I don't think it's noisier than any other but I just try minimize noise any way I can.

Lights? I have 4x110W VHO's
Skimmer?I have a ASM G3
Sump/Refugium? (size/setup)I have a 20 gal tank w/sock
Pumps?I have a Gen-X 4100
Other suggestions?

My tank has been up for 2 years now with little to no problems. Softies do great and SPS are growing well.....
The lights were all bought before I knew about T5's

Thanks all, keep it coming. Yeah I know. I loved the 24inch depth on the 120 over the 18 on the 90. I also prefer the dual overflows. But alas I need to stick to a budget of some sort if I want to also get my dive gear. Or I would just go buy that 265 :)

Expensive Sushi you have a 10gal Fuge with a 70gal Sump? Is this under the main tank?

Yeah I plan on putting it all under the main tank at this point so I am working out the details on how big I can go and so forth.

I'm not the person to ask on always sticking to a budget. My motto is sometimes you just have to splurge on something fun. You only live once, it's only money and you can make more. I tried several times to talk my husband into letting me buy the 265, lol. If I'd seen it before we already got started on the 150, I would have jumped on it without bothering to talk to hubby.
