Ive been a fan of Invincables tank for a long time and I have to say you're doing it great justice. Its amazing to see what a person can do with the exact same platform. Your aquascaping looks amazing man! Keep it up!

Thank you! It is definitely a high bar Edward set. Have some cool stuff in the works which I will share in time.

How's the tilefish doing? Where'd you get him? I've never seen one before.

Tile is doing very well. Eating like a pig and still flashing from time to time. I still have it in the fuge until I run the finer mesh over the top. Picked it up at www.nyaquatic.com

How is Maculips tang doing? The one with the ammonia burns...

Nick

Surprisingly well but still blind. I keep it in my QT tank. Not sure where it will end up. I am told it had nothing to do with ammonia. Most likely due to shady collection practices (ie chemicals). I am told this is becoming more common with Indo fish.

And you were brilliant to come up with it in the first place. Thank you for letting us feature that in this month's issue.

If you have another neat DIY projects, be sure to drop me a line.

I am very interested in this sand you have in your tank. Where can I purchase this particular sand? Or do you have any extra that you would sell?

I have been interested in this tamarin wrasse for some time. The other day I happen to find one at my LFS. Its doing very well so far but still very shy. This is a photo from Saltwaterfish.com but I hope to post some of my own soon.

Erik, that fish is beautiful. I used to have one couple years ago but it only last 6 months in my tank. There is another wrasse with the same color on the body except yellow tail. I put sand in my new tank cuz of them wrasse :D

Hi Steve-

Good to see you around. Your tank setup yet? Yes this wrasse is a stunner. Not sure why they sell for so cheap either. I think Sanjay has one that is pretty killer. Adult coloration.

Erik, my tank will be up and running soon :D. Will compete the wrasse collection in the future lol. The wrasse is really nice but it kinda hard to keep. Do you have the leopard wrasse yet? That is one of my favorite too.

Hey Erik,

Thanks for stopping by today. It was good that we finally met today.

Like I said earlier, if you forgot anything or want something else. You're welcome to stop by anytime.

Also, if you could pm me the info we spoke about. I would like to research it and try it out.

Thanks

Nice to finally meet you too! Your tank looks really spectacular and healthy! Its always nice seeing a mature system. Also thank you for the hookups. As soon as I get my hands on some cherry stock I will be sure to hook you up.

I just PM'd you about the stuff we discussed.

Call me any time!

Erik

No problem Erik.. stop by anytime. If you want anything else, just let me know.

thanks for the great info. hopefully i could get my tank close to yours one day.

Thanks Dr!

It was nice to visit yesterday and reef geek out.

Hit me up whenever you have time in the south bay so i can return the favors!

I like the wrasse and love the filefish...its my understanding that conspecific tilefish will burrow together and I've witnessed it at an LFS with a purple and skunk tilefish. Adding a purple and skunk with the flashing tilefish would be an impressive sight....
