is there any easy way to remove this fish from my tank without moving all my coral and rocks out of the way?

Eek been there done that. I had a domino that made me jump all the time and drew blood .i could never do anything in tank. Make a trap out of a bottle is what did it for me just google DIY bottle fish trap. I know it sounds cruel but don't feed your fish for two days the bottle will work like a charm.

Aggressive Damsel is redundant.

I was snorkling one time and got attacked by a 3" damsel. It was pretty funny, but it hurt too!

Hope you get it out. Hopefully the trap will work, or some people have gone fishing with barbless hooks to get a pest fish out.

Also, if you get up real early before the lights go on, you may be able to catch him while he is asleep. That worked for a tomato clown I had.

yeah, you can wait a few hours after your lights go off..grab him while he is asleep, real easy..providing he is not in a hard to reach spot...

In addition to the bottle trap, if it's not emergent, you can use the feeding trick. Put the food in either a specimen container or a net. Put that into the tank, and let the fod float out of it. Eventually, the fish will associate the net/container with food, and they'll swim right up to it (and often into it).

A very common question :) Was it sold to you to cycle a tank :angryfire:? or did you just want something to swim around and it was a pretty fish for a couple bucks ;) ? A friend of mine showed us a quick trick similar to the others... Grab a fish bag, weave some fishin' line through it, throw some food in it and wait for lil guy to swim in and yank the line, thus trapping lil dude inside and ready for the LFS again... :sad2:

Good luck with it! Let us know if you get him out :P

I just ran into this problem, evil damsel i didnt even want but my friend gave me his tank with terms of keeping his fish alive. I tried soda bottle trick, feed and net(almost worked) but the overall success was the night trick. My lights go out at 7pm, so i waited til 9:30pm to make sure the fish were asleep, turned the lights on full blast and netted him out with ease! I was actually surprised with how easy it was. THe fish now resides in the sump
