Wow, finally figured out why one of my WWDs was malfunctioning. It would run fine for a while and then give me strange codes like today, blinking red and white. Sometimes I would notice the power supply light dimming while the WWD lights dimmed.

So I swapped out power supplies. I tried re-setting it. I tried re-programming it. All these attempts seemed to work, but only for a while.

So today on my morning walk-through, I watched it do strange things, appearing to connect to the master, run, then error code blinking various colors, none of which match anything in the user manual. I also noticed a clicking sound.

Turns out I had it plugged into a "switched" socket on the power strip and the master was plugged into the "control" socket. When the master ramps up and down, it changes the draw and this was affecting the switched sockets on the power strip. When I plugged the slave into an un-switched socket, it started working fine.

Time for a less "advanced" power strip!
