AI Sol questions

A friend of mine got two brand new AI Sol about two years ago. Yesterday he called me and said that the lights won't turn on and that he thinks that it is the power cord. I guess he hooked up a power cord from a computer or something and they came on just not very bright so he thinks it is from the power cord. I told him to contact the MFG and the wed site he got them from even thought the warranty is up. Dose anyone have advice or has this happen to any of you?

Likely the power supply. All of that, even a new board can be purchased from AI. It's also super easy to fix these things. They are all plug and play.

That really depends on what aspect is broken. Usually what goes out is a single puck. That's not bad at all. A puck is $25.

The entire mother board is $50 and a new power supply is also $50.

I don't consider that too bad. I've not had one break before. I ordered a refurbished that came not working. It was easy to diagnose and of course they sent the new puck for free in that case.
