I have a 24g cube with a built-in AIO sump. The sump has three chambers and I'd love to turn one of them into a refugium. I can buy a magnetic JBJ nano glo light to stick on the side or just use a cheap LED off amazon.
See here on Reddit for an example of what I mean:
Currently, I change 5 gallons every two weeks. Total water volume of the system is about 18 gallons. I start to see algae on the glass about a week after every water change. My skimmer also has not been working too great but I just got a new pump for it so I'm hoping it improves. If I add a refugium, I am worried that it might even suck up too much nutrients and starve my coral. I run a Kessil A360 tuna blue lights on a sunrise/sunset program for about 10 hours per day.
Let me know what you all think.
