Aiptasia Eaters

Are berghia nudibranchs available anywhere locally? I've had aiptasia for years, but they're finally annoying me enough to want to deal with them now.

these file fish are really good aptasia eaters IMO i have two and never get aptasia any more

Does your file fish bother any other corals?

no mine dosnt but i have heard others say theirs does, i think it is dependant on the species

I've had good luck numerous times with my B-flies. I've raised 5 C. semilarvatus and 4 C. falcula and coerced them all into reef-safe, Aiptasia patrols. They may annoy Xenia, but once taught to eat fish food, if any teaching is needed, they leave everything alone. Very beautiful fish I must say too!

Only if you get lucky, and they don't eat much. I would contact anthony Calfo, he had a thread about them. I recall him saying something like 15$ for one or somewhere around that.

You need peppermint shrimp from the Gulf or Caribbean of this verity: Lysmata boggessi

You also need to get "new" ones. If you get them that have been captive for a while they will develop a taste for things other than aiptasia. Berghia are extremely delicate and unless you have $$$$$$$ it will take several months on longer till you get a population large enough to make a dent. (if they survive)

After spending $100 on Berghia and seeing no results I spent $25 on 4 shrimp and I am aiptasia free.
