i got an acro frag last week and have seen 2 aiptasia pop up on the rock that it sits on. what is the best way to get rid of this? how does it take for them to spread? am i already at risk for it to spread throughout the tank? it's only been in for a week

I noticed a couple very close to my button polyps and will probably try the joes juice tomorrow. hope it doesnt take out any polyps in the process.
You can always get a peppermint shrimp and do it the natural way!
I noticed a few in my 55g that were hard to reach so I tried the peppermint . Took a week but he finally found them!

I've actually used both for some small aiptasia. I used Joe's juice for what I could reach and a peppermint shrimp for the stuff I couldn't reach. The peppermint was amazing! The second I dropped him into the tank he swam right to the aiptasia and wiped it all out within 30 seconds. It was crazy! Joe's juice works wonders as well (if you can reach the bastards). One small squirt in the center of the head and they start melting away right before your eyes.

another fun method is getting a syringe and filling it with boiling water, stick in the middle, squirt, imploding in hot melty goodness ...also, my peppermints suck and lack the ability to eat aptasia... both of them.

I've tried Joe's Juice and have not had the same luck as the others on this thread. So I tried the Peppermint Shrimp route and it pigged out on every single Aiptasia in my tank. It hasn't bothered any of my corals so far. It's been 3 months.
