Aiptasia problem

Not sure where to post this, but it seems like an advanced topic for me.

My dad has a 120 gallon reef tank. His sump is FILLED with aiptasia. I also noticed a few specimans in his overflow box. I can only assume is it throughout his tank even though I cannot see it. He has 240 lbs of LR. What should he do to get rid of this?

1. Joe's Juice -- How could he find every single piece of aiptasia though?
2. Butterfly fish / Peppermint shrimp -- He's got a LOT of current in his tank for one. And two, how would they clean out the sump, overflow, etc?
3. Any other ideas?

I agree with you about Joe'Juice. IMO, it is a great product and I currently use, but if you can see it, you cannot kill it. Pepperment shrimp in the tank and sump will help rid them. Make sure you purchase the right species(Lysmata wurdemanni). In regards to the overflow, what type is it, overhang or built-in?

In sumps you can try an ice cube by the foot, it will make them release sometimes, but somtimes wont. (depends if tehy are in the LR or on teh glass. Don;t squish them, or else you will have a bigger problem!

Peppermints and Joe's Juice here back when I had them, and it took about a week to get rid of about 50. You have to try the Juice just to see how it effects aiptasia -- the reaction is pretty awesome. :)
