Aiptasia

Trying to get rid of some aiptasia. I know they are certain shrimps that eat aiptasia but I have a decent size harlequin tusk that won't allow any shrimp in the tank for more than a couple of seconds.. I have tried aiptasia x and its hit or miss.. any suggestions.. I really don't want to get rid of the tusk cuz I've had him for years but I have thought about it

I've had the best luck with Joe's Juice. The other Aiptasia products seem to tick off the aiptasia, but not really kill them.

They do make aiptasia zapper and aiptasia wand instant death easy to use. Unlike syringe you have to get down the middle that can be difficult as they detect you near by they tuck in. You can also get a butterfly fish they eat them and majano.

Anyone with the wand want to rent it out? I have 1 in my 20 gallon and can't see paying that much for AIPTAISIA X or the wand.

Had one in there for 2 weeks, he's not touching it. The ones at all pet looked way too small so I didn't bother buying any cause the a iptaisia is almost twice the size of their shrimp.

Yeah that looks like it works.. Anyone have one for rent or know where is the best place to order one.. If not I would have a harlequin for sale soon because these things spread like wild flower.

I recently posted a thread about the same topic and there were many suggestions. As far as natural, Copperband was one, nudi's, and peppermint shrimps. Chemical there is Aiptasia X and Joe's juice. I tried the shrimp and he would not even get close to them. I ended up buying Aiptasia X and it worked great. I heard that they will come back eventually but for now they are all dead.

You can using boiling hot RO water and turkey baster them. It will kill them but try to get them out as well. Its worked for me so far.

I put 2 in a 55g and also used the Majano Wand for the bigger aptasia. Within in 2 weeks they were gone. That was more than 2 years and I haven't seen one since. You can borrow it, but I live in Parkland. If you'll be up in north Broward any time soon, I can meetup with you.

Berghia nudibranch eat nothing else. I have them cruising in all my tanks. You cannot find them in stores as they only eat aiptasia and will quickly starve without it. I ordered mine from saltyunderground. I have to keep feeding aiptasia in my algae/pod tank so I can switch the rubble out so they don't starve.
