to convince you I took the SAME image when I had my first one and wasn't sure.
left it alone - figured what could it hurt? Mistake but not a huge one!
eventually got about 5 or 6 but they never hurt anything
started treating with aiptasiaX - it sort of works
They disappear for weeks some completely but eventually some come back and I need to treat again
Currently am down to 3 and if I was more aggressive treating would probably all be gone.
Used it and two days after Aiptasia came back with a vengeance. Got some peppermints and they went to work right away. Aiptasia was gone in less then 24 hours. 6 months later still haven't seen one raise it's ugly head. I think you know where I'm going with this.
I use a hypodermic syringe with boiling hot RO water and inject it with the water if there's a couple but peppermints are awesome and depending on what type of corals you have, copper bandits too

I thought they were harmless and saw one turn to 4 on one rock. After everything I read I pulled the rock and torched the side of the rock and put it back in the tank. One month later no more aiptasia and was no $.
I tried to pinpoint where they were but they disappear when you pull the rock so I torched a whole section to be sure. I have two peppermint shrimp which turned into three mysteriously. They did nothing to the aiptasia and just hang under the anemone waiting to steal food. Imo peps are annoying but extracting them is also not worth it at this point. I wouldnt put them back in the DT if I saw them in a sock filter change.
