These little guys have shown up in the last three weeks on my LR and the are sort of brownish in color. I was hoping that they were a sort of worm or polyp, but I hear they could be "The menace". I know this is a rough picture, but they are really tiny still. Any ideas?
Thank you all for posting your input. I think I will let them go for now, it looks like they are confined to two specific areas of my tank and would be easy to reign in if needs be.
I looked at some pics of hydroids and have yet to see one that looks like that. The ones I have look exactly like feather dusters but small. They don't look anything like that pic of hydroids.

I am almost positive they are hydroids. Usually feather duster tubes are white twisty and quite long that wrap around the rock. I could be wrong though..it has happened once or twice.
