I am thinking of using a power head attached to a 1/4" hose and attempt to "suck out" the aiptasias, has anyone used this method ?

It likely will not work. They hold on pretty tight and retract in when threatened.

I will not work. I use "Joe's juice" Works every time for me.

Well just put some peppermint or copper band will be much more helpful.

peppermint shrimp worked for my but dont worry if they dont eat it right away, i noticed they are nocturnal eaters

My peppermint shrimp won't touch the aiptasia in my tank. I have to use kalk paste.

I've heard Joe's Juice works wonders.
Dont pry it off while in the tank because it will reseed wherever it lands... I've learned the hard way. Fortunately it wasnt very bad.
