Not sure if it's pop-eye or not, i'm new to this problem.
Lemon butterfly.
Seems to be behaving as normal, he's always starving and willing to eat (seems like he always want's to eat more).
Yesterday i noticed one of his eyes were bulging, today it's worse.
I'd say one eye is puffed out, what appears to be just under a 1/4 of an inch.
Looks like an air bubble behind his ball.
Local fish store (very repudable saltwater fish location), told me to leave it alone, that they feel that meds will do nothing, and if it's gonna get better it will on it's own.
I really don't want to lose this fish or any others. And i have no other tank to segregate him from the other fish.
Tank is 55 gallons, with a blennie, two clowns a diamond gobie, cleaner shrimp and the butterfly fish.
Normally no bubbles in the tank, now and then if the water goes a little low, the skimmer waterfall will put minor bubbles in the tank.
And don't flame me for this, but i usually drop the food in on the skimmer water re-entering the tank, i'm guessing now that's bad?
How do i know for sure if its' an air bubble or pop eye? Are they the same thing?
Any help is appreciated.
Edit: It almost looks like it wants to burst, like a balloon that you just kept filling up, where the rubber got thinner and thinner.
