air bubbles

getting some air bubbles in my main tank, have put some coarse green filter sponge against the side of refuguim entering return section, helps a little but still air bubbles, have adjusted the sponge on the skimmer 2 at the top and 2 on the water surface.
any ideas.
tank 4x2x2, ammonia =0, nitrite=0, nitrate=0
been running about 4weeks, 60 kilos of live rock.
3chromies, 3 hermit crabs, 1long arm sea star, 1spiney sea urchin.

ok, what Im thinkin is that you should probobly have a couple filtersocks for the 2 outlets into the sump. I would put one of those sponges you used for the refugium side on the other side where the skimmer is. Also I think that the height the water has to fall to get to the return section might be adding to the bubbles.

cheers thanks for the advice, I was thinking about another filter sponge on the intake side to, i,ll have a look for the filter socks.

May just be some fine adjustment on the skimmer. How long have you had the skimmer? It needs a break in period of a week or so to settle down.
