Hi, I have had a very large pump for awhile and finally put it to use but now I have a billon micro bubbles, is there any way to get rid of these?
seems to be coming from the impeller area tried back flowing to see if i could push the air out with no sucess
any ideas?

With larger pumps if you have the smalles hole in the joint glue it will suck air in big time. Even if you are certain you glues them well and there is no way, there is. and it doesn't need to be leaking to have a small hole. First place I would look it the fittings going into the pump, take them off, add a little more tape and see if that does it. If not you can go back and glue the out side of all the joings, or wait for the salt creep to build which will block the small hole.

thanks ,
starting to believe the pump is too big,
could a large pump create a vortex before the intake if the hose is to small to the pump?
just trying to get rid of pumps by using just one main pump for everything

Do you have a sump.....???? I've had similar problem with the only difference is that my problem was pvc connections (Didn't push them in together when glueing). Check that....

You mention vortex....Had a vortex created in my rubbermaid bucket sump....my 1200 gph pump pulled water in from the sump at (8 inch water level) and created a vortex then shot out million of bubbles into the main tank.....So, I added a elbow facing down towards the bottom of the tub and fixed the problem.....

Hope this helps...
