So I just got done moving my 10gal into a 29gal with the help of my lovely wife. We moved the old rock and added new life rock, creating a reef that is fantastically stable (not moving). It was a few days until I noticed one of my turbo snails has not been running around. I am pretty sure he was lost in the rubble. I've noticed a small ammonia spike, but attributed it to a small cycle. If it is the snail that once was and is no more, should I tear apart my rock to find him or will the CUC and nature do the job without crashing the tank? If he's on the bottom of a rock, buried under the sand would that temper the potential ammonia spike?
