alga blooms

what alga blooms will I have in a new tank? And how long do they last?

The reason I ask is my tank just got through the diatom bloom now looks like I am getting a green alga that looks like the diatom alga but green, and I know I will go through a few alga blooms

do lots 'o' water changes and throw a lawn mower blenny in there, hope this help's...

I did the brown algae and then the green. I added a lot of turbo and astria snails. They cleaned up the algae in no time flat. Do a lot of water changes and watch your water chemistry. I got a second green algae bloom that is finally starting to go away. I violated a key rule: only add if you test first.
