algae and sponge id please.

hello

i had this rock with the mushroom on it in my tube anemone tank. i put it into my display tank a couple weeks ago for the mushroom and maidens hair to grow better under the mh. then all this algae started to grow out of the rock and it has little bubble like pieces on the ends or down the length of the algae. it is growing like crazy so i am wondering what it is.

also i am wondering what this purple sponge is. is was injecting some aptasia with vinegar last night and noticed this purple sponge on the rock in my fuge. there is 3 pieces on the rock. sorry for the blurry pics.

Looks like Grape Caulerpa, C. racemosa.

No idea about the sponge...can't tell what you mean from the pic.

The first pic is Caulerpa racemosa, I have no idea on the second

Looks like a boring sponge. Probably has connecting chambers throughout the rock. Search on boring sponge and you will get a lot of info.

be carefull with the Caulerpa racemosa ..it grows pretty fast.. i keep mine trimed back..i feed it to my buddies tang.. it loves it..
