Algae blenny not going for nori. ...

He's eating a little formula 2 but so far no nori (green, from grocery store). Should I try purple or with garlic? Only fish in a new tank. He's nipping at the LR but with the tank being new, I'm not sure how much he's getting. I haven't seen him go after GHA really like I expected.

My experience with these guys is that they do not eat GHA nor do they keep rocks very clean of film algae nor do they eat nori.

My last one would only pick at film algae occasionally but would eat the evening meal of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and krill with gusto. He was a worthless fish and with the experience I had with him, I steer clear of that type of blenny.

I had one starve in my 55 gallon after it consumed all of the GHA in the tank (it did eat that with gusto). It refused to eat any and all prepared foods, including different kinds of nori and other herbivorous foods. So, I am really not much help; more just saying you are not alone.

I made sure I saw him eat before getting him. I know he's eating formula 2 just want to be sure.
