Algae Bloom - BioCube 29 gallon

My tank has been running for about 30 days, I did a water change about 5 days ago. Now, there is an algae bloom and most of the live rocks are now green. I have turned the lights off (currently on for 12 hours / day )and added some turbo snails. The water change I did had been stagnent for about 25 days. Would that have caused it? What is my next step.

Please help.

are you using a rodi unit,if you are,are you getting 0tds.what are your parameters? stagnet water is never a good thing unless its in a glass.
