algae growing on corals

I recently added a cat's paw and within a day or two there was algae growing on some of the tips. Now about two weeks later there's GHA on it. Some of it colored up pinker, but the part with the GHA doesn't look dead, but whiter. I had GHA pretty bad a few months ago. Now it's cleared up a lot. I put in a bigger sump, better skimmer, and the tank is now a year old. I have some other corals, LPS that have GHA growing on them that I continually pick off to keep it from harming the coral. Does anybody have any suggestions? My water levels are ok, but don't have a test for phosphate. I had it tested and it was zero. That was about 3 months ago.

salinity 1.025
temp 80-82
ammonia, nitrites 0
nitrates 0 as far as I can tell
alkalinity 10
calcium 380

i've never heard of algae growing on living tissue, just sounds like you have some dead tips. just continue to be vigorous in removal of the algae and do regular water changes
