My 120 gal tank is now a little over 2 months old. My parameters are:
sal. .025 ammo. is 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 0
alk. is 4 and calcium is 360
Tank contains 5 conchs, 10 snails, 15 fiddlers all having been introduced 1 month ago. Tanks also has 1 very nice fox face, 2 zoa's and 1 galaxea. The fish and corals appear to be doing well, i.e., they look good and seem to be getting bigger.
Had the expected huge algae issued during cycle, which cleared completely about 2 weeks ago. Green algae is coming back along with a bit of brown on the sand.
Have 160 lbs of live rock and 3 inches of half and half sand.
Is this new growth of algae normal? Should any action be taken?
The only thing that I can think has changes is the introduction of flake food to fish Ocean nutrition formula, twice a day and he eats it all, I mean all. Nothing stays behind. Thanks.
