Wanted to know if I should keep or toss. Has a deep red color. Looks leafy.

Its not always a great algae. It doesn't get much bigger than that, but it will grow over everything. Very invasive. I forgot the name at the moment, but its not gracilaria. My achilles tangs liked it as food in my reef tank, kept it in check.

Should I just brush it off. I also have a little green hair algae growing. Should I use a brush and get that out of my fuge as well

If it is confined to that one rock alone, I suggest you remove it and dry it out, make sure the algae is completely killed off.

Is it safe to completely dry it and put it right back into the tank?

How long should I let it dry. The amount of decomposing material won't cause ammonia spike?
