Do you guys know what is this brown algae?
It quite difficult to remove from the rock surface, its tightly anchored. Grows slow but regrows after removal…i have it in 2-3 spots
Thanks!!

Looks like Dictyota. It’s a nicer looking brown algae but can become invasive. Some have had success using Fluconazole to eliminate it. Others use manual removal. According to Reef Cleaners Pitho Crabs will eat it.

I wonder if it might be lobophora? If it is I am jealous as I bought and tried to grow it once but was not successful.

I think it looks more like Dictyota than lobophora….but its now too short to tell. If it grows longer I will take another picture before removing it. Thanks a lot for the suggestion!!!!
