Algae in quarantine tank?

I like to utilize macro algae in my tanks, as I think it looks nice, offers grazing opportunities and assists in keeping water quality top notch. Could I keep a crop of macro in my quarantine? I figure it'll help reduce nitrates and would be great for any new tangs, angels, blennies etc. Any issue keeping algae with Cupramine and PraziPro? Thanks guys :fish1:

Don't use copper, there are much better ways.
