Algae in Siphon Hose

I have algae growing in my siphon hose, the hose is clear and the algae looks black. I use the algae to move my ro/di water into my jugs and to for water changes. What should I use to kill the algae? Should I just get a new hose? Will diluted vinegar kill it without messing up my clean water when I use it?

run bleach water. use a powerhead to keep flow going through the hose. i have done this in the tub, and then rinse until no more bleach smell. then i run ph in bucket of vinegar and presto. you are done.

use baby sterilising tablets, not sure if you have heard of milton tablets? stick 4 milton tablets in the sink with a few ltrs of warm water and stick the pipe in, leave over night, next day flush out with hot water then after that rinse well with cold tap water, problem solved, other than that chuck out the pipe and just buy a new bit
