Algae magnets for a big tank

So what does everyone use? What's the good, the bad and the ugly with the one you have?

I'm looking to get one for my tank. It's 3/4" glass.

I like Algae magnet. It works very well for my 1" thick acrylic tank.

I have a Magnavore 8. My acrylic is 1.25 inch thick though... Anyways I like it. Took a while to get used to it because its so damn strong (Almost lost a tip of one finger). Also, it doesn't float. However I love the acrylic pads it uses. Good scrubbing power, no scratching.

had a mighty magnet here also, loved it so much that when I took down my tank, we are saving it for our next "bigger" tank.
